I have made this recipe many times and I think it is a keeper. The longer I have used it I have made it my own, I add a packet of chicken broth to the water (which takes care of the blandness IMO) and sprinkle a little black pepper while the chicken cooks. I have also found that I can use breasts with the bone. I figured I would be shredding the chicken anyway, what is a little bone.

For all you parents who want to save $$$ on snack food this is definately a keeper. I have yet to come across a child who does not love this snack. My son (and husband) gobble it up each time I make it.

I love eating this stew. I must say, that if you don't like your stew thick and meaty, this not be the stew for you. It does not come out soupy, when you follow this receipe to a T. I would say that if you want this a little bit more soupy add a 1/4 cup of more liquid.
