Good basic recipe that can be tweaked to fit what you like. Added pepperoni and canadian bacon, pineapple, and olives.

Beef Stew IV

This was a great recipe, though I did make some modifications. I used 4 cups of beef broth and only about a cup of water. I added about 3x the garlic as well as some celery. Between the broth and the potatoes no thickening agent was necessary. Before browing the meat I dredged them in flour mixed with garlic powder, pepper, and seasoned salt. That gave the meat wonderful flavor when it came time to eat! Solid recipe that will become a family staple!

Good chicken. Makes the grill a mess, but other than that the flavor was good.

Yummy. Sort of runny, so I thickened it up with some corn starch. We will definately eat this again.

The husband wasnt too crazy about this one, but he would rather just have plain ham. I really liked it a lot and would definately make it again.

Cashew Chicken Casserole

I am one of those people who changes the recipe without trying the original, but this recipe can be really versatile in my opinion. I omitted the green bell peppers and added brocolli. When I cooked the chicken I added salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I used cheddar instead of american for more flavor. I used ritz crackers instead of saltine, again, for flavor. After reading reviews stating it lacked flavor, I overcompensated for flavor and it came out great. Definately play with it if you like a lot of full flavor because you can add so much to it and it is really a great base recipe.

Flatlander Chili

It was simply OK. I thought it was a little bit bland, but I am sure with tweaking it could be better. It did make good leftovers, but I would have liked it to have more flavor as a whole.

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
This was a very good recipe and everyone really enjoyed them! I know it is annoying when people change the recipe, but I had to because of what I had on hand. I used both boneless skinless thighs and breasts, which I dont think harmed the flavor at all. I also had a can of red enchilada sauce on hand and put it over the top just because. That was wonderful, as I think they might have been just a touch dry without it. The integrity of the recipe is wonderful and they are wonderful as leftovers!

Elegant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2008
This recipe was simply too bland for our tastes. The rice was OK, though I would add more garlic, fresh sliced mushrooms, and cheese. The pork was simply ick. It is a waste of pork when you HAVE to cover it in rice just to eat it. I would instead bread the pork chop with flour, instant potato flakes, and spices, cook the pork and add it to the baking dish about 10 minutes before it should be done. At least then it isnt a waste of the pork. It would be great with chicken chopped up and added to the rice though. Overall, not impressed.

Cream Cheese Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2008
This was OK. I really did like the variety of flavor it offered, but it really was a hassle to put together and bake. If I make this again I will simply put the sauce on the chicken, roll in the nuts and bake, then add the cream cheese mixture afterwards. I think it would be good to either top the chicken with the mixture or use it as a bed for the chicken.

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken

This was a definate dinner party pleaser! I tested in on a group of friends and we all loved it. Next time I will place the meat on a grate so that it isnt sitting in it's own juice because that made them a little less crispy.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2008
Followed the marinade almost to a T- I went a little light on the oil because I thought it not necessary to have that much. I did add orange bell pepper and pineapple chunks to the skewers and they turned out just great. My husband, my dad and I all just loved this recipe. Next time I may add some onion just to compliment the flavors, but the bell pepper and pineapple are a must for you to try if you try this recipe. I loved it!
