Lovely cake! Was craving "seed cake" after having read about it in a novel. Found this recipe & tweaked it only by adding 1 tbsp of caraway seeds. Didn't alter any other ingredients, however. Had to bake it for 45 minutes. Couldn't wait for it to cool properly before I tried a piece to go with my tea. Wow! This one is definitely a keeper. Thank you for sharing.

Woweewowow! This might not be a "traditional" soda bread but boy oh boy is it ever tasty. I've made it with & without currants & it's equally delicious. Tastes even better after a couple of days - if lasts that long. Definitely a keeper.

My family could not believe I had made these from scratch! They disappeared in the blink of an eye. The recipe is perfect as is. My only suggestion is to spread softened butter on the rolled out dough, prior to sprinkling with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Tried these with the cream-cheese icing, but I think I prefer them plain...no glaze...That's how good they are!
