About this Cook
I am a full time working mother of 2 children, husband and chocolate lab. Life is very busy especially when my husband is deployed. I like to provide my family with healthy good food fast. My kids love to cook with me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking with my Mother during the holidays as a child. My Mother would start baking weeks before and make all kinds of cookies, cakes, and quick breads for gifts. I loved the looks on people's faces when receiving it. They could not wait to break open the wrapping and dig in. I may not have the time to do as much - but my children and I with my husband making christmas cut out cookies - and save them for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins
I have made them twice and both times a big hit. I mixed 1/2 cup white chocolate chips and 1/2 semi sweet choc.chips. They came out moist. Baked for only 20 minutes at 350 as suggested. Next time i may cut back on the amount of sugar used.

Playgroup Granola Bars
I have made these several times now due to the request of my children = HUGE hit with the kids and Hubby! They are so easy to make, healthy, under weight watchers plan 1 serving is 2pts and very easy to take on the go to soccer games! I added about 1/4 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips and used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose flour. You can add anything to this recipe! This is a winner and I will be making this weekly!

I made this for Easter. I did add sliced strawberries between the layers and filled the hole with strawberries. My family loved it and even went back for seconds. It was very easy and quick to make - love the NO baking part. I will take one suggestion and make this for Fourth of July and add blueberries with the strawberries.
