French Onion Soup Gratinee
Completely fantastic. Like others, I used only beef stock. I also mixed the butter with a bit of olive oil, and used dried herbs, since that was all I had. We ate just soup with a quick salad of romaine, Granny Smith apples, and bacon and are still stuffed two hours later!

Swanson(R) Braised Beef with Shallots and Mushrooms
Really easy and really good. I didn't have shallots to hand, so I substituted a large, chopped vidalia onion, and added a chopped clove of garlic. It smells amazing while it cooks. Served with mashed potatoes and salad.
