Deep Fried Jalapeno Slices

these were pretty good. I ususally make mine using tempura batter then breadcrumbs and I have found they cook up and stay crispier that way. These are awesome with homemade ranch dip!

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This recipe was ok as is,but I found it a little bland for my tastes. Once I added some things it was great! I put some rinsed black beans and corn in the chicken filling, and doubled the chilies. I cooked my chicken breasts in broth with seasonings and cubed them. I also added some of the broth from the chicken and a 1/4 cup more sourcream the remaining sauce for the top. After that it was perfect for our family. A good base recipe for making your own twist to it.

Jagerschnitzel

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
Yuuuummmyyy! I lived in Germany for a total of 8 yrs becaus emy father was statoined there with the U.S. Army. We used to eat schnitzel all the time. The best restaurant was E-Tony's in Hanau. They made the most awesome schnitzel cordon bleu with cream sauce. This recipe was very close to other places we got schnitzel from. I also recommend fresh mushrooms for the best taste.

Mom's Island Treasures

Ok, these were flippin awesome! I added macademia pieces and a mixture of white, semi sweet and milk choc chips along with the coconut. I couldnt get enough! They are even good popped into the microwave for a few secs later on. I took a batch to some friends and got lots of thanks. Ended up passing on the recipe. I did use less butter like other reviews suggested and they still came out great. Didnt miss the extra butter at all. Yummyliciousness!

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
I thought these were awesome! I used 5 and 1/2 large bananas(1/2 banana came from the banana my 2yr old didnt finish haha) My bananas were yellow with a few browns spots. I mashed them with a fork but left it a little chunky. This gave the muffins yummy pieces of banana to bite into when you ate the muffin. I also used 1/3 cup oil like some reviews suggested. My muffins were moist and the topping was lightly crunchy. They would be good without the topping as well. Never had homemade muffins and these were Definitely a keeper. Taste as yummy as store or bakery bought, just better made with love.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
I love to bake and i make cookies for my family all the time. I don't usually use a recipe, i just kinda go off memory and then adjust as i go. But i tried this recipe and it was pretty great. I added more chips and did half milk choc and half dark choc, but other than that it was really good. It makes big yummy, slightly crispy on the outside soft and chewy on the inside cookies!

Korean-style Seaweed Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2008
I love seaweed soup. I grew up eating it as a kid at my grandmother's who is full korean. My mom made me some after I had my son ecause she said it is supposed to be good for nursing moms. I dont know how much truth there is to it, but it made me feel a million times better after being up all night as a first time mommy. this recipe is really close, but I think my mom may have added some broth or maybe dried salted seaweed. Cause it was saltier the way she made it. Very yummy!
