About this Cook
I love the act of cooking, and just being in the kitchen makes me happy. I could spend hours in the kitchen chopping veggies or kneading bread. I love making healthy food that tastes fantastic and makes my boyfriend ooh and aah. I also love it when I make something that my 3-year-old actually wants to eat!
My favorite things to cook
I like making pretty much anything. I have recipes that I will use more than once, but I really like trying new recipes as I get bored quickly! I also love to bake bread, muffins, cookies, cakes, etc but don't anymore cause they're too full of calories! I'm on a mission though, to find a healthy, low-cal, low-fat, yet still delicious chocolate chip cookie recipe.
My cooking triumphs
Decorating a boob cake for a couple of friends who were moving out of the country. Everyone loved it and I couldn't believe what a good job I did decorating it!
My cooking tragedies
Mistakenly putting cayenne pepper on garlic bread instead of paprika. Wow, that was some spicy garlic bread! Also, I tried to make crab cakes one time for my boyfriend--I think it might've been the first time I cooked for him--and they wouldn't stay together. It turned out more like crab hash but it was still delicious!

Black and White Cookies I
Tastes just like the black and white cookies at Einstein Bagels where I used to work! I cooked the first batch for 20 minutes and when the timer went off they looked overdone, so I put in the second batch for only 15 minutes just until the edges started to brown. Between the two batches, I prefer the one that cooked longer. The texture is just perfect. I am so thrilled to have this recipe now! The only thing I changed was to use dark chocolate chips instead of the bittersweet chocolate just because that's what I had on hand. I will definitely make these again!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
this recipe doesn't need anymore 5 star ratings, but I felt like I needed to give it two big thumbs up! Great recipe!

Bagels I
Soooooooooooo awesome! Living in the south, it's impossible to find fresh bagels. I tried to make bagels once before, but they didn't come out quite right. This recipe is amazing though, and i will make these bagels again and again!!!
