Beaker's Vegetable Barley Soup
Awesome... I did add about 3 extra cups of water... based on other reviewer's recommendations, I used the crock pot, put it on high for about 5 hours. It really is an amazing, soup. Fed me and my boyfriend for 2 days, and there's still some left.

Baked Lentils with Cheese
Simple, inexpensive, tasty, and good for a couple of meals if you're cooking for two. What more can you ask?

Nannie's Hot Milk Sponge Cake
We love this cake! I like to serve it with fresh sliced strawberries. My boyfriend likes to drizzle a slice with melted chocolate-- which is very rich but delicious. I also like that it stays so moist.
