About this Cook
I'm a full-time student, pursuing my ultimate career goal as a Registered Nurse. I've always loved cooking for as long as I remember. My dad is an excellent cook; one of the biggest influences on why I love being in the kitchen. I come from a HUGE family; lots of aunts & uncles, cousins, godparents, godsiblings, nieces & nephews. Whenever we get together, great food is ALWAYS involved. We turn the smallest celebration into something extravagant because of all the food we cook & share with one another. My mom also loves to cook & has been my teacher throughout the years.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, baked goods, low-carb, light & healthy, comfort food & all kinds of ethnic food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Birthdays, Easter, Summer BBQs, Baptisms & Family Reunions
My cooking triumphs
My friends constantly ask me to make my world-famous spinach and artichoke dip...they can never seem to get enough of it! It's become one of my signature dishes; I don't have the recipe written down, just memorized, as I no longer measure the ingredients for it; I just mix away and serve it up!

Baking Powder Drop Biscuits
Wonderful recipe; biscuits are so fluffy and velvety inside with a nice flaky crust on the outside. This is the only way I make biscuits these days. I've substituted buttermilk for the milk...always delicious! I also brush the tops with melted butter/shortening, cream, or buttermilk before baking. Great for any meal of the day, even for snacks! Thank you for sharing your recipe!

Chewy Brownies
Absolutely decadent; I will definitely make this one again! I used semi-sweet chocolate chips in place of the nuts because I was fresh out of them...bf looooovvvveeeedddd it; he is a chocoholic. I had to bake mine a little longer, about 30-32 mins. I've been searcing for the perfect made-from-scratch brownie recipe, and now I've found it...so much more easier than the one I've been using that just didn't quite meet perfection the way this recipe has. Thanks for sharing this recipe (:

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy
Wonderful recipe...I substituted onion powder for the chopped onion, just about 1/2 tsp since its flavor is super concentrated and my bf won't eat onions (plus, the bouillon has plenty of seasonings already). I made a roux first which I allowed to brown a bit for color. Thank you for sharing this recipe :)
