Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
L-o-o-o-v-e this recipe! I like the fact that it uses less eggs than traditional french toast recipes. I add a little more cinnamon to the mixture about halfway through in order to keep the rest of the pieces cinnamon-y, but other than that, don't change a thing!

Restaurant-Style Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
This is the first potato salad I've ever made and it turned out delish! Changed a few things to suit my personal taste: First, cut the potatoes into squares before boiling them; it only took about 7 - 8 minutes until they were done. I think this makes them cook more evenly. Second, I left out the pickles and onions, but added some hard-boiled eggs. Used regular vinegar instead of white wine, since that's what I had. I also used light mayo to save some calories - can't tell any difference anyway and since I didn't have time to chill it, I served it room temperature, but still it tasted great! I may try adding olives next time. Thanks for the great salad!

The only banana bread recipe I use. Follow exactly except the nuts. Thanks for a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

The ultimate comfort food! I make this recipe exactly as called for, except I cut the chicken into smaller pieces, cut the biscuits in half before I put them in, and always add some corn at the same time. Serve with mashed potatoes.

Ham and Cheese Bowties

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I've made this dish several times, and love it! Make it exactly as the recipe says, except I use the pre-cooked, cubed ham they sell in grocery stores. I usually serve this with crescent rolls and steamed vegis. Great as leftovers too!

White Chocolate Fruit Tart

One of the few recipes my husband makes requests for. I take this to social functions when I want oohs and aahs. Definitely use the glaze on top--really makes the dish pop.

Love this recipe! Cook it for as long as possible for the tenderest meat possible. Serve on toasted buns with baked fries and strawberry smoothies. Great summer recipe!

This is my brownie recipe now! Made a double batch and took it to a church function. As suggested by other reviewers, I throw some extra chocolate chips on top.

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Made this once without the mushrooms or tomatoes, but added green pepper. It's good, but doesn't need to spend all day in the slow-cooker. Probably will make again.

Gave these out for Christmas, and got positive reviews back. Also saved one for myself to try (so I knew what it was I was giving away) and they were R-E-A-L-L-Y good--some of the best brownies I've ever had!

Great recipe--just be careful not to overdue the BBQ sauce or it will overpower the dish.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

We have a bakery here that is famous for its pumpkin bread -- the small loaves sell for $4.00 each. This recipe is better than theirs, so I often give it for a gift and it turns out perfect every time!

After trying Pizza Hut's Meaty Marinara pasta, I was sure I could find a knock-off and make it for a lot cheaper than they sell it. This is it! Great recipe--thank you!

Great recipe, but making this made me realize that I prefer BBQ beef over BBQ chicken. It seems to absorb the sauce better somehow.

This recipe was good--I made it after we had leftover ham from Christmas. Seems like more of a side dish than a main dish. Great for a potluck!
