This recipe was the 1st pecan pie I had ever made and it made me look like an old pro! I made it for my father in law for his birthday because it is his favorite and he LOVED it! My husband said it was a close runner up to the "name-brand" pecan pies I order at Christmas time - no more ordering for me! :)

Easy Chicken Alfredo II

Very good, easy recipe! Not my favorite, but I'm not a fan of alfredo, however my husband and 1 year old LOVED it. I was able to work this recipe into our Weight Watchers meal plan due to the light sauce. Definately will make this one again. Easy and fast!

Savory Pork Roast

This recipe was sooo yummy! It needs 6 stars! Between my husband and my father-in-law dinner time sounded like this, "hhhmmmm, yummmm, mmmmm, this is sooo good!" Very easy, very simple, very good! I served this with rolls and glazed carrots.

Light Wheat Bread

I tried this recipe looking for bread to use for sandwiches during the week. It was vey, very simple. I baked 1 loaf and put the other in the freezer for later use. The loaf turned out a little small, but I think it's because I didn't let it rise long enough. Very good, I don't know if it will make it long enough to be used for sandwiches. :) The only thing I would change is the salt content, it was a little salty for my taste.

Apple German Chocolate Cake

This recipe was awesome! I made this for a family birthday dinner party. One relative said, "I dont usually like german chocolate cake but this cake is one of the best I have ever had!" It was all gone by the end of the night. Very simple and easy! It makes the house smell wonderful! We served this with vanilla ice cream.

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

My husband said, "Add this to the yummy recipe list, I want to have this again!" and my 1 year old said, "Mmmmmmm!" :) Very good, very easy to follow, I used 2 cans of Veg-All to make the veggie part a little quicker. Not exactly home-made but still very delicious! Even better as leftovers!

Simple Beef Stroganoff

This recipe wasn't too bad. I started to make it and realized I was out of ground beef. I substituted diced chicken breast and used cream of chicken instead of mushroom. I also added a lot more garlic and a cans of peas. My husband said the noodles were a little "plain" and would have been better mixed in with the sauce than served on top. Not too bad, not my absolute favorite.

Grandmas Chicken Chardon

This recipe turned out pretty well. It was a nice variation. I also added a little mozarella on top. I would say add more mushrooms if you like them a lot. I didn't add more and it was fine. My husband said it was just "ok" but then asked for seconds and thirds! :) You can also change this one up a bit and turn it into chicken parmesean by leaving out the mushrooms and lemon/butter sauce; and by adding a tomatoe based sauce with more garlic!

Quick Yeast Rolls

This recipe is awesome! I have used the same "family hand-me down" recipe for years and thought that they never tasted just right, and it took hours and hours to make. These rolls were soooo easy and simple, and light and fluffy! Still takes a little time for the yeast to rise, but to be expected. I tripled the recipe and put them in a pan for pull-apart rolls. Excellent, excellent!

Fruit Pizza

I made this delicious dessert for our Easter family dinner. It was a big hit! Most of us are dieting so I made it a little lighter using light cream-cheese and light whipped topping. I used strawberries, blueberries and mandarin oranges. I used the wax paper hint when spreading the cookie dough out and it worked perfectly.
