Dark Chocolate Cake II
I don't eat chocolate and I haven never made a cake before but my chocolaholic boyfriend's b-day is coming up and I secretly invited a bunch of my girlfriends over for chocolate cake tasting. I made the "Too much chocolate cake" from this site and "Dark Chocolate Cake II". This one was an absolute winner!! They all raved about it! I replaced milk and vinegar with buttermilk and regular flower with cake flower as per other reviewers' suggestion. I used two 9" cake pans because I didn't want to cut it horizontally to add the frosting. I baked it for 30 minutes, let it cool for about an hour, covered both layers with "German Chocolate Cake Frosting II" and put them together. Now, I didn't even try it but apparently it was DELICIOUS, so I am making this for the b-day party! Thank you for a great and easy recipe!
