Sugar Coated Pecans

I'm giving it 5 stars because its exactly as the name says "sugar coated pecans". I was hoping for more spice.

As is this was good, we didn't like the ketchup and not enough gravy at the end. But it is easy to modify to make it great for your own tastes. I added brown gravy mix and 1 cup water to the final gravy instead and we loved it. I also used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground turkey for the meat and it was just as good. This is a keeper for my family.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Cream cheese is not Stroganoff, sour cream is. Traditionally made Stroganoff tastes MUCH better and is not that much harder, it just takes a more expesive cut of meat. Not a saver for us.

Spicy Cashew Chicken

Bland but has potential. The cashews added most of the flavor. It also did not make big servings, for us it was more of a 3 serving meal. Its a good kid meal if your kids don't mind everything mixed together.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

I've made this twice and following other suggetions here is what I do. 1) brush/spread butter over breast 2) cook on low for 50 min. a lb. so if you need to cook it all day get a bigger breast. So for a recipe that needs so few modifications I give it 4 stars. It would get 5 stars if slow cookers could crisp the skin!

Baked Pork Chops I

As is I'd rate it a 1 star, bland and over cooked. Please note all of the 5 stars that modified the heck out of this recipe. I'd don't consider this a recipe just a suggestion. Use this as a jumping off point for your own creation and you will also be rating it a 5 star. I used cream of chicken, poultry seasoning, paprika and shredded cheese. I did the sauce on the stove top and cooked the chops until 155 in the oven. But it is fast and all you really need are white wine, pork and a cream of something soup to make it work. So for me its a keeper with my modifications.

Chicken Puffs

You've got to like cream cheese. I modified as others suggested and they turned out fine just bland. The kids liked them. This is a good basis idea for then modifying to suit your families tastes.

Chicken Piccata II

It wasn't a wow meal but no one complained and it tasted good. The bread crumbs fell off a bit but helped to thicken the sauce. I used chicken broth instead of bullion.

Slow Cooker Beef Barley Soup

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

This is a keeper. I did double the sauce. I used beef broth instead of bouillon and left out the extra salt. I put the green peppers in for the last hour of cooking and used stew beef. I've also made it with crushed tomatoes when I didn't have stewed and it worked great for our families tastes.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

I'm keeping this recipe because I can modify it for our tastes and make it perfect for our family. As written this was way too spicy for my 6 year old and really too spicy for my older stomach. Next time I'll use plain diced tomatoes and half the taco seasoning and then adjust the seasoning towards the end of cooking. Also we don't drink so getting the beer was a extra stop while shopping next time I won't bother and will just use broth.

Easier Chicken Marsala

This is a good recipe. But I would use almost 4 cups of Marsala and let it cook down a bit to make the sauce. I wouldn't use any broth as others have suggested unless you are low on Marsala and need to stretch the sauce to make more.

Curried Coconut Chicken

I made plain chicken just in case my sons (8&6) wouldn't eat it and I won't bother next time, this was nice and mild. I did use a very mild curry and I could tell how much the flavor of the curry effects this dish. I'd suggest using a curry you already know you like. The basic three cans and curry powder are easy to keep on hand so I'll be turning to this recipe often.
