I am trying to eat very clean right now, but one day a week I allow myself to indulge. I love simple recipes. My biggest challenge is to find recipes that are healthy where I can use as many fresh ingredients as possible, but still have enough flavor to satisfy my husband.
My favorite things to cook
Dessert- I save them for my day to indulge. They never turn out as good as I hope but as long as I can lick the bowl I'm happy with the results!
My cooking triumphs
Dirt Cake and whole wheat scones. Oh yeah, my first thanksgiving feast all by myself!
My cooking tragedies
My two biggest faults that I am still ironing out is that I leave out ingredients or don't measure if I don't have them handy, or walk away from the stove to multi-task--good thing my husband is always close by!
