Italian Cream Cheese and Ricotta Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This is the first cheesecake that I have ever made. Wow! It was easy to put together and bake. And the flavor is outstanding. Everyone absolutely loved it and I got many compliments on it. For the cake itself, I followed the recipe exactly. However, my spring form pan has a slight gap in it so I made a graham cracker crust to put the filling in. Delicious! Thanks for a wonderful recipe, I know I will be making this many, many times.

Easy and delicious. I cook green beans this way also. Just put the lid on and steam the beans until they are tender.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2008
So good and so simple. This is my second time baking this dessert. My daughter said that this is her new favorite cake! I served it with a generous scoop of Dulce Du Leche Ice Cream, it goes perfectly together. My only revisions were that I added a teaspoon of salt (to cut the sweetness) and reduced the sugar to 2 cups instead of 4 cups. The first time I made it, I followed the recipe to the letter, but I decided that it was just too sweet to be enjoyable. It works just fine with 2 cups of sugar. This is a wonderful cake recipe. Thanks!

I made this tonight and it is delicious. We had it with stir fried vegetables and steamed white rice. Thank you for a very tasty recipe.

Olde Tavern Spoon Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
Yum, yum, yum. The first time I had spoon bread was at Christiana Campbell's Tavern in Williamsburg, VA. I have been looking for a spoon bread recipe like that for ages. This one is definitely a keeper. Just remember to put a nice pat of butter on top and let it melt down! Very good.

Homemade Stewed Tomatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
My Mom used to put sugar, butter and bread in the tomatoes. The bread absorbed the tomato juice and the butter and sugar made a lovely gloss on the bread. You let it sit to firm up a bit and then serve. She called this stewed tomatoes. Delicious.
