St. Patrick's Day, Corned Beef & Cabbage, Irish Mashed Potatoes, Irish Soda Bread & Green cupcakes.
Christmas, my DD & I start making cookies right after Thanksgiving. We make about 12 different kinds. Christmas dinner is Filet Mignon, Baked Potatoes, Broccoli Casserole, Carrots, dinner rolls & of course dessert.
Thanksgiving, Turkey, gravy, corn stuffing, mashed potatoes,broccoli casserole(people say they won't come unless we make broccoli casserole)dinner rolls, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and chocolate pie.
My cooking triumphs
Making my Mom's potato salad to taste like hers use to. And making cornbread stuffing for Thanksgiving like my sister use to make before she moved back to TX
My cooking tragedies
Making the Earthquake Cake (should be named volcano cake). It went all over the oven, the house was filled with stinky smoke, the fire alarm went off but in the end the cake was delicious. Next time I will put the filling in the middle. Live and Learn
