About this Cook
I have a husband and two teens. I am very lucky to live in an area with 4 definite seasons! I enjoy them all in some way or another. I have just recently become interested in cooking, but have always enjoyed baking.
My favorite things to cook
I don't really have favorite things to cook, but I have favorite things to eat! I cook/eat most anything, as long as its not on the spicy(hot) side.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions were cooking with my Grandma, since she never measured a thing (a handful of this, pinch of this, dash of that). No wonder I thought I was kind of recipe illiterate for so long!
My cooking triumphs
I just made my first holiday meal for in-laws and my parents, along with my own family. It was good, and more importantly, I don't think anyone got sick!
My cooking tragedies
I have many cooking tragedies, dating way back to when I was first married. I actually burned spaghetti noodles while boiling them, let them boil dry. There's way to many to share them all:o

Hamburger Soup I
Easy, nutritious and delicious! A great way to use up veggies that needed using. I used all the vegetables in recipe then also used cauliflower and mushrooms.

Roasted Vegetables
What a delicious way to cook vegetables! I had quite a variety of veggies leftover from different things that I wanted to use up, so I did. I had baby carrots, summer squash, red onion, red pepper, cauliflower, broccoli and sweet potato. It only took about 20 minutes at 450 degrees for the vegetables to be done to our liking.

Roasted Potatoes with Rosemary
Simply delicious! I used French fingerling potatoes that I quartered.
