I'm a retired preschool teacher of 30 years. I enjoy cooking with my granddaughter. I also love having company over and cooking for them. I have been cooking sence I was about 10 years old.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook main dishes,Lasagna, spaghetti, meatloaf, and oven baked fried chicken. Side dishes every one loves are potato salad, brocolli salad.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking with my granddaughter, we have just started making that a family cooking tradition.
My cooking triumphs
Well, my Lasagna is always my best dish and what people ask me always to make for them when they come to dinner. When ever I took it to a pot luck dinner it was always all gone in about fifteen minutes. Also my potato salad everyone loves me to make.
My cooking tragedies
OMG, I'll never forget the time I invitied the pastor and his wife over for dinner and I made my famous lasagna. I forgot to deforst it first and stuck it in the over from the freeser and I don't think it ever was cooked enough in the middle. It still was cold inside. Another time at Thanksgiving, I invited a neighbor lady to join us for dinner and I decided to make something different then the traditional turkey. I cooked a duck. It turned out tough and just horrible. It was so tuough and dry we couldn't even eat it.
