PHILADELPHIA Smarter Fettuccine Alfredo

This is a wonderful and simple recipe - it works out to be pretty inexpensive, too, since it doesn't call for very much parmesan or cream cheese. This sauce has lots of flavour and it would be easy to add in vegetables and other spices, though I loved it made as directed in the recipe.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

This tastes amazing! The only thing I found was using mustard, ketchup, relish etc. with these kind of took away from the cream cheese flavour. I would maybe just use a bit of mayo and veggies (lettuce, tomato, onion) and try to stay away from any over powering condiments/sauces.

Banana-Dulce de Leche Pie (Banana-Caramel Pie)

This was way too sweet for me, but my husband loved it - so I'll have to say this is a winner. I'd never had Dulce De Leche before, so I didn't know what to expect. He, on the other hand, loves it and that's why he loved this pie. I boiled the can for 3 hours fully submerged and had no issues with it.

Bacon for the Family or a Crowd

I used the suggestion to put foil loosely on top of the pan, baked for 7 minutes on each side, and it came out PERFECT! Thanks.. I really hate frying bacon.

Buttery Rolls

These are good but I did find them more dense than I was expecting. I was hoping for more of a butter flavour, but spreading some butter on a cut, warm bun did the trick! They are really nice and I will keep this recipe around for when we have guests.

Chip Chicken Lollipops

I hate giving a bad review, but I found this very bland as written. I am going to have to experiment with spices, etc. Also the chips took a bit of work to stick to the chicken. I like the idea though.

BLT Pizza

Wow, this was soooo good. As I was making it, I was starting to doubt the recipe as there aren't many ingredients and I wondered if the pizza would be bland without sauce. Once I took my first bite, I knew it'd become a staple in my house! I love BLTs and this was excellent, tastes just like one. My advice is to sprinkle the lettuce on each individual piece as you serve it. That way if there are any leftovers, you won't get soggy bread/wilted lettuce. Chop fresh lettuce each time.. it's worth it!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

This is great! I didn't find that I needed the whole bottle of hot sauce or blue cheese dressing... but that's ok, now I have enough left over for another pizza. I also added thinly sliced tomatoes, which worked great with the chicken & blue cheese flavours. Thanks for the great recipe.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites

I hate giving a bad review, but I just found these didn't have enough flavour. I also didn't think they tasted like chicken cordon bleu.. I think with some tweaking this could be great - but as written, I would not make again.

Easy Key Lime Pie I

Excellent, easy, tasty recipe! I did follow the changes. 2 cans condensed milk, 1 cup lemon/lime juice, 4 egg yolks. Everyone was so impressed with this.. including myself! I did add 4 drops green food colouring to give it that key-lime colour. Serve chilled for best texture, and to make it easier to cut.

Graham Cracker Crust II

This recipe is wonderful - I was worried my crust wouldn't hold together, but it did. The only reason I'm docking 1 star is because to cover a pie plate, I do need at least 20 crackers. Also I find the cracker to butter ratio a little bit off, I had to add quite a bit more butter than called for.

Thai Pineapple Chicken Curry

Yum.. this is wonderful, just like the restaurant-style thai food. I made a vegetarian version, so no chicken and no fish sauce. Still full of flavour and a great meal.

Chicken Fried Steak III

Guess I should've read the reviews, but I was in a rush. The breading really did not stick to the steak, I found the breading itself to be lacking some flavour as well. I appreciate the recipe but not sure if I'll try it again with the advice in the reviews..

Chocolate Frosting I

Thank you! This is wonderful.. it tastes like the betty crocker packaged chocolate icing, without that strange aftertaste. Also, it is much easier to work with & spread. I followed the reviews and only used 2.5 cups of sugar

Jamaican Beef Patties

These are great! Much different from the frozen Jamaican Patties we used to buy from the grocery store - healthier, I'm sure! They are also very filling. I would love to make some changes by adding peas and corn into the filling next time. I also drained the fat and I've made it without breadcrumbs, still great!

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

The texture and ease of this recipe is great, but I just can't get past the taste of the shortening. I will use this when I need really white icing for small bits of decor, but otherwise I will have to find another recipe that mainly uses butter. I also found this way too sweet for my tastes (and that says a lot, since I have a sweet tooth).

Buttercream Icing

Okay - let me just say i'm never going back to Royal Icing again! Well - at least not any time soon. I am attempting to learn how to do some cake decor - flowers, leaves, etc. Royal icing was so hard to work, so I tried this as suggested in the Recipe exchange. This icing was so simple to make, and easy to experiment with. I think I've found a winner! Tastes great too.
