About this Cook
I am 20 years old and live in Washington state. Cooking has recently become my very favorite hobby. I'm currently looking for more and more excuses to bake goodies. Anyone who has a birthday coming up is sure to let me know!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I also like to play around with global cuisine and try different dished from all over the world. I don't have the money to travel, so at least I can try the food from the places I want to go.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Breakfast/brunch on Sunday, cookies and cinnamon rolls on Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
I seriously have perfected my cookies. They turn out great every time. Everyone at work loves me for them. But they are beginning to hate me because I make them fatties. Haha!
My cooking tragedies
I made the worst loaf of bread ever. Shortly followed by a pretty good loaf of bread. So at least I learn from my mistakes =/

Baked French Toast
I did not enjoy this. My bread was soggy on the bottom from having soaked in the fridge for 8 hours, and the top was too crunchy and hard. Maybe I did something wrong, but I definitely don't think I'll be making this again.

Okanagan Peach Soup
This. Was. Delicious. I was really surprised that I liked it, and that everyone else did too. I would definitely recommend serving it hot and NOT cold. The curry was nice and not too spicy, just enough to get your blood running quick.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
These were some great cookies! Definitely chewy and flavorful. The amount of spices were perfect, I think, however instead of raisins I put chopped pecans as I really hate raisins.
