My name is Jennifer and I am currently (unfortunately) an out of work college grad. The only good thing about this situation is its giving me a chance to improve my cooking, be inventive and create my own recipes, and help my family gain 100lbs.... wait, gaining weight is bad, i'll focus on low cal :)
My favorite things to cook
baking cookies is an absolute favorite, but chicken dishes, vegetarian dishes and soups (both vegetarian and meat based) are tops as well. I'm still learning to work with other meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
my family is of eastern European Ashkenazic origins, so we basically made the food of that area - kasha varnishkas (if i spelled it wrong, sorry) and matzoh ball soup (the good kind from scratch). My dad also loves to make Italian dishes such as chicken or veal parmesan or spaghetti and meatballs.
My cooking triumphs
my cookies, i will write out my variation on some recipes some day.
My cooking tragedies
ugh, too many - especially my cinnamon dough ball which resulted in me realizing i am deathly allergic to cinnamon.
