Dirt Cake I

i made this for my granddaughts 1st birthday party ( she lookeds so cute with dirt in her hair and all over her face and ....) but i know that some of the guest didn't like chocalate so i also made a banna one , i subed pecan sandies for oreo's and i sub banna crean puddin instead of vanilla puddin, in between layers i put a layer of slice bannas , i put in in a plastic beach pail and topped it with gummie bear laying on beach blankets( fruit rollups cut into the shap of hearts) with umberillas ( from the bar ).

Empanadas

i made these for my wife's fiesta pot luck at work . it was a lot of work but all 72 were gone and they where a hit . i diddn't roll the dough , i just devided it up into 12 little balls then smash the with my hand to make the round crust . they wern't perfect but they looked athenic. i used apple pie filling (chopped up),blueberry pie filling, cherry pie filling( mashed up), nutello with chopped walnuts, sweet potatoe pie filling , and peach preserves. the ones i tried powered sugar seem to get gummie or pastie but the were ate also.

Beef Burgundy III

it was great , but i messed it up alittle , i tried it in the crock pot and for the first hour i had it on high . don't do that , it makes the meat just alittle on the dry side . it was very flavorful ,it fell apart as i served it but it was just a little on the dry side . i'll deffently cook this again but i'll cook on low only for 4-6 hours .

Grandma Jeanette's Amazing German Red Cabbage

I used to get this same red cabbage at alittle resturant inside a cattle sells barn in west , tx. (same town they have the world famous westfest) I have looked everwhere for it and now my life is complete,I did add 1tsp. of carraway seeds to give it a little rye bread flavor
