About this Cook
I have 5 children and their spouses and 7 grandchildren. My husband and I love to cook for this crew as they love our cooking (or is it just a free meal!). Seriously, my hubby and I love cooking for each other too. I must say that hubby cooks more than me, but I like to cook gourmet and get creative.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are casseroles or anything you combine in a pan and bake it. I am not much on baking deserts, as they attach to my middle; but there are a few pies my husband required me to learn from my mother-in-law. Now that was a baker and she has blue ribbons to prove it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking tradition is Christmas. Since we have so many kids, we do a progressive dinner every year. That way we can see each couples house and how it is decorated and a family picture next to their Christmas tree. We start out with hors d'oeuvres at couple 1's house, then continue to couple 2's house for salad, then to couple 3's house for soup. We end up at our house for the main entre'.

Artichoke Chicken
My husband LOVED this and said its a recipe to do again. The chicken was so moist. I read other reviews and followed some of their advice. The changes I made were: ADDED 5 stips pre-cooked bacon and tore them into pieces, 1 can mild green chilies, 1/4 C sharp shredded cheddar cheese, 1 bud garlic, seasoned with garlic salt, pepper and lots of paprika. OMITTED: garlic pepper as I did not have any.

Cajun Shrimp Orecchiette
My husband absolutely loved this recipe and said it is a recipe that can be repeated again. I altered it a bit as my grocery store did not have Orecchiette pasta; therefore I used Davinci Gnocchi. I also added 1/2 can large artichokes (drained and quartered) the same time you add the tomatoes.
