I have my own built-in never fail recipe... I am married to a chef who has done it all. Although he doesn't do much at home cooking he certainly can bail me out if I get in trouble. Better than any cookbook!!

Banana Cream Pie I
I followed this recipe and it came out great! As it is custard-type based it does require the 15 minutes of baking time. Top of pie was perfect. After about 15 minutes of cooling, I placed saran wrap loosely over the filling to keep it from getting a film. Used flakey crust recipe (Crisco, water and flour, no overnight refrigeration) and that provided a light flakey crust. One suggestion is to put a thin layer of filling on bottom of crust then put bananas down, and completely cover the bananas with the filling, to keep them from turning. Hubby is a chef and even he gave the approval on this recipe.

Terrific Teriyaki Marinade
This does not begin to taste like teriyaki sauce... even after substituting brown sugar (as suggested) for the splenda. This should never have been posted as a recipe. Just awful.

Raspberry Cup Cakes
One of the best and most refreshing dishes we have had in a long time. I made this with other fruits - bananas, peaches (ummm), black berries and blue berries. This is a rich dish and does not take a large cup cake to do the job!
