Brown Sugar Smokies

Incredibly good. Incredibly easy. I opted for low sodium bacon, but found it to be too fatty for my taste. So next time I will be looking for good meaty bacon. I make them and then keep them warm in a crock pot.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

YUM! I made this for my family Christmas Eve get-together today. Boy was it a hit! I loved it - everyone loved it! I used a rotisserie chicken rather than canned chicken. So tasty - so easy!

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Loved this! The regular meatloaf mixture I make is very wet and the meatloaf comes out so moist. This one didn't come out as moist, so I was worried. Nothing to worry about! It came together so nicely. The flavor was nice. I thought it was so easy to put together. I made two little ones and still have one in the freezer for later!

Barbecued Beef

This was so good! Even better - my husband ate it up and liked it! Easy and tasty. I followed to a T. When I tasted mid-point, I thought it might be a bit too mustard-y, but at the end, it was perfect! I highly recommend!

Chicken Paprikash I

Well, I was excited about this dish. I bought Hungarian Paprika specifically to use with it. It was only OK. It may have seemed better if my husband hadn't picked at it and didn't even try it because he didn't think he'd like it. Ah...well...another try, another fail... If it was a bit better, I might make it again even though my husband will pick at it - but it wasn't that great.

The Best Meatballs

Oh my goodness - these were good. I have never made meatballs from scratch - to be honest, it never occured to me to do it. These were so easy. I bought the beef/veal/pork mixture at Whole Foods and went from there. I think mine were a bit too wet because I struggled to keep them together when I was cooking. But I have to say they were so tender, I am not sure I'd do them differently.

Spicy Chicken Enchiladas

Yummy!!! I enjoyed this quite a bit! I made it as written. I think next time I'll do a few things differently. I'd either pick out the broccoli pieces in the rice, or just use a different kind. I really liked that kind of rice, but not the broccoli pieces. I also don't think I'd use onions next time. With so much in it, I didn't think it really needed the onions - plus I am not the biggest fan. But on the whole - I recommend this!

Garlic-Brown Sugar Chicken

This was tasty and very easy. I usually don't make chicken with the bone in, but it is so nice. And the combo of sweetness and garlic was very tasty. Nothing I would have thought about, but I enjoyed it! My husband ate his portion too - whoo hoo!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

This was a very easy and tasty meal. My husband said it was OK and when I asked if I should make it again he said "if you want to". Which means he wasn't thrilled. BUT he actually ate it, so that's a good sign!

Sloppy Joes II

Very tasty. I have to admit this was the first time I ever made sloppy joes from scratch and I am glad I did. Very easy and very tasty. Get a little nice veggie action in it. No need for Manwich!!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

YUMMY!!! This is similar to how I make my regular scalloped potatoes, but adding cheese to the sauce. So tasty! My husband wouldn't even touch them to try them, but I thought they were great. Unfortunately, that means I won't be making these much unless I want half of it uneaten. Can't please the man!

This is a wonderful recipe! I tried it and added a slice of ham on top of the chicken and it was great. The sauce - while easy and made with canned soup - was increadibly tasty!

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Boy was this a hit!!! The first time I made it, I made it as written. It was good but very greasy. The next time, I just tossed the potatoes lightly in oil. They were still a bit greasy because of the cheese, but much better. My husband (who is hard to please) instantly requested that I make them again. Score!

Firecracker Grilled Alaska Salmon

This was a mixed bag. I thought it was pretty good - nothing major wrong with it. I didn't get as much of a taste of the marinade as I would like. I'd make sure that the dish was smaller so it was more covered. However, I discovered tonight that my husband doesn't like salmon. I'm not a fan either. I was only making it because he said he like salmon!! So, while this was OK, it is going into the NOPE file!

World's Best Lasagna

Based on the ratings, I knew it had to be good. And good it was! This was my first from-stratch lasagna and it was fantastic! I followed the directions to a T, and might add some ground turkey next time - maybe turkey sausage. Because there are just two of us, I put this into two pans and am freezing the second one. I'm excited that we'll have it again! I used the recommendations of soaking the lasagna noodles for half an hour in hot water before assembling, and boy was that a great idea! The noodles were cooked perfectly!

Matthew's Bearnaise Sauce

I cannot say enough good things about this recipe. I love bearnaise sauce in the fancy steakhouses and tonight when my husband and I decided to make really nice filets from Whole Foods, I thought I'd give it a shot. This was so simple and tasted so good. The whole experience was better than a fancy steakhouse because we made everything ourselves and could enjoy in our own home. I loved it!!

Garlic Caesar Chicken Tenders

I am with other people on this recipe. Very tender chicken. Breading was not great - I even tried to add a lot of parmesan cheese to it so that it wouldn't be so bready. I love caesar dressing, so was hoping for more of the taste - I think it just made it moist and that was it. Not sure how to tweak it to make it better...
