About this Cook
Mother of two boys, and recently a new baby girl, who keep me very busy! (and happy!) I love spending time with my family and enjoying everything that the beautiful Fraser Valley has to offer. I love to cook for my family and try out new recipes. I'm still a new cook and exploring everyday. I just hope my family enjoys my "culinary adventures" as much as I do!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook chicken, trying all different flavours and dishes with it. I even have a cookbook dedicated to chicken only recipes! Me and my family are meat-lovers, and besides chicken we love beef and salmon.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandma bakes the best homemade bread!
My cooking triumphs
I haven't had any real "triumphs" I can think of, at least not yet! Right now if I can get dinner on the table for five and it tastes great (especially if I'm trying a new recipe!) I'm happy!
My cooking tragedies
My only real tragedies are when a new recipe completly fails. (Like a bread recipe recently)

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken
This chicken was delicious! The combo of spices is really great, I rubbed some under the skin as well. Will be making again!

Golden Potato Soup
This was awsome! I doubled the recipe and instead of adding chicken cubes and water, just added three cans of chicken broth. I added two types of cheese, one being mozzarella as that was all I had on hand. I didn't even need to add the flour/water mixture as the soup was already thick enough...this is a winter keeper!

Wonton Soup
These are so good! I've never attempted to make wonton soup before and I was suprised at how good they were! Like another reviewer said though, only add the ginger if you REALLY love it. I too felt it was too over-powering...other than that delicious!
