About this Cook
I'm just your run of the mill gal who loves to add a little spice to life, litterally.
My favorite things to cook
Right now I've no favorite thing to cook. I used to make a mean scalloped potatoes that everyone raved about.
My favorite family cooking traditions
None that I recall. My parents weren't that adventurous in the kitchen. It was all blahness and business while preparing a meal.
My cooking triumphs
A chicken/potato/tomato throw together that people went crazy for. I didn't use a recipe and I've yet to duplicate the exact flavor of that first Chipoto dish.
My cooking tragedies
My very first roast was an abomination. I forgot to turn it down while I took my little siblings to the park. When we got back it was nearly burnt on the outside, pink and rubbery on the inside. We couldn't even bite into it!! They never let me live that one down.

Macaroni and Cheese with Sausage, Peppers and Onions
Tried this out for the kids I had over and they scarfed it down like crazy. Mine wasn't greasy as I usually boil and then drain the grease from any meat I cook. I think it would have tasted better with a little spice in it to liven the dish up.

No Yolk Deviled Eggs
A unique and enjoyable twist on the tired old devilled eggs I grew up with.

Macaroni and Tuna Fish Salad
Simple and easy to throw together. The spice lends a subtle flavor that I enjoy. Only thing I changed was I sprinkled some paprika on top for a little punch of color.
