Baked Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
I did not use the tomatoes and since I did not have mozzarella at the house I used what I had (cheese mix) and added some parm. It turned out great.

The only thing I changed was using minced onion instead of fresh and I added garlic. It was great

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Instead of heavy cream, I used fat free half and half and also added some white wine to the sauce. I got rave reviews and will make this again.

Pork Chops with Sour Cream and Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
I used other suggestions and added some white wine, thyme, rosemary, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, minced onions, and minced garlic. I also only simmered for 20 min. This turned out pretty good. The recipe seems like a good base to season to your preference.

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2009
I added sauteed onions to the garlic and beef while it was browning and sprinkled with the salt and pepper. When I added the other ingredients, I also added a beef bouillon cube, 2 bay leaves, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, italian seasoning mix, some extra oregano, and thyme. About half way into the cooking time I added a little corn starch. The sauce thickened perfectly and tasted great.

Creamy Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
I added extra garlic and added minced onion and red onion flakes, used dry herbs (1tbs oregano and basil, didn't measure parley), and used a can of petite dice tomatoes. While that was simmering, I cooked in some shrimp. The cream cheese I used was fat free and did not have any problems with my sauce being too thick. I know the leftovers will be even better.

Teriyaki Marinated Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
The flavor was great but when I broiled it, the chicken was not cooked so I had to bake it the rest of the way. I will make this again since it went over so well at my house but next time I will just bake it. I did thicken the sauce with corn starch on the stovetop and yum.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
I cut down on the lemon juice a little and added garlic powder and old bay seasoning. I broiled the fish for 4 minutes, added sauce and then put it back in for 1-2 minutes (til brown). Next time I make this I am going to cut down on the celery salt a little and use fresh garlic instead of powdered.

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
Yummy! I did make a few changes. I only needed about half the large shells that came in the box. I increased the garlic powder to 1/2 tsp and added a little water to the sauce that I poured on top to make sure it did not get dry. I saved some of the mozzarella and sprinkled on top. And of course, I added spinach to the cheese mix.

Quick Lemon Dijon Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
I didn't have a lime but used a tbsp of lemon juice. I used lemon pepper and cut the dijon down to about 2/3 of what the recipe called for. I also added some garlic that I sauteed in a little olive oil, a splash of soy sauce, a splash or worcestershire sauce, and a little salt. It was a hit and smelled wonderful.

Herbed Pork Chops in Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
This recipe turned out great for me. I did not measure any of the herbs so I probably used more than what the recipe called for. I am a vegetarian and seasoned according to the smell. My boyfriend gave me two thumbs up. I did however use thyme and basil as well as adding salt and pepper which I am sure made a difference.

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2009
I did not marinate them so they would not absorb so much of the soy sauce and be so salty. Instead of baking them, I browned the garlic in the oil on the stovetop and then browned both sides of the chops sprinkling with the pepper. Poured in the other ingredients and let it simmer for about 20 min. Came out great.

Flounder with Shrimp Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
As recommended I cut the amount of Dijon mustard in half. I did not wrap the fish around the shrimp. Just cooked it as a fillet and used all the shrimp in the sauce. This was really good. I might try to spice up the sauce a little the next time I cook this.
