Italian Dressing Mix

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
Excellent taste and so convenient to be able to just mix it up whenever the need arises... I'm all out of the first batch, so it's time to stock up with another batch!

Caesar Salad Croutons

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
These were good, but I found them too hard (texture-wise). I prefer my croutons to have a little give to them. Store-bought croutons have to be hard so they keep for a long time, but I find them more satisfying when they're not so hard. I would skip baking them first if I made them again.

Fresh Salsa II

This was a very tasty salsa. I will still experiment with other recipes and combinations. I did leave out the chillis though, as the kids can't handle them.

Irish Bacon And Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
This was good soup that we all liked. I will make it again when I have bacon and cabbage. I save five stars for dishes that make me drool to think of them, but this was tasty.

Baked Brie with Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
The caramelized onions, baked garlic, baked brie and apple combination was amazing! I didn't have puff pastry, so I hollowed out a loaf of cheese bread and put everything inside: brie cut in half horizontally made the bottom layer, then caramalized onions cooked with tart homemade applesauce (didn't have any tart apples), baked garlic cloves, then covered with the top crust of the bread. Baked about 25 minutes. It was absolutely delicious and got rave reviews.

Barley Salad With Almonds And Apricots

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
I love barley and apricots and almonds and yogourt, but found this salad bland. I followed the recipe exactly, apart from slightly decreasing the lemon juice and doubling the cinnamon and turmeric, as other reviewers suggested. I was expecting to love it, but found the result disappointing.
