About this Cook
19 year old, female. Moving to Tokyo in the near future. I was born in Ajax, Ontario, but I never lived there. Grew up mostly in Peterborough and Toronto. I love COOKING XD, the outdoors, and the entertainment industry. I want to become an Interior Designer with note-worthy cooking skills.
My favorite things to cook
Well, I am just starting to broaden my horizons now, but I would have to say, my favourite things to cook, include salmon, fresh vegetables, and recently, specifically, Yakitori Don. It's really delicious.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Unfortunately, my family has generations of fast food eaters. The only inspiration I can take from is my Opa. He was a cook. I will have to make my own traditions to pass on to others.
My cooking triumphs
Recently, my Yakitori Don. Everybody loved it, including myself. I love eating food made by myself. It is much more satisfying. Not too mention, I work up quite an appetite while cooking.
My cooking tragedies
Yikes. I made miso soup, when I was missing ingredients. I thought I could wing it, and substitute here and there, but it came out very bland and watery. Everyone is allowed some learning tragedies, right?

Best Ever Banana Bread
This recipe was absolutely heart-warming. Everyone who ate it loved it a lot, especially myself. I substituted the pecans for 4 tablespoons of baking chocolate, and it was absolutely delicious. The melting chocolate mixed with the warm banana notes was extraordinary. I can't wait to make this again.

Roasted Potatoes with Greens
Wow. These are some of the most delicious potatoes I have ever eaten. This recipe was easy to make and rewarding. I followed the recipe with a few changes. Instead of small red potatoes, I used white, and I let them remain in the oven for an extra 5 minutes to give the inside a softer texture while still reserving a crispy skin. 5 stars, though. Absolute love.

Asparagus and Cashews
Delicious! I loved the subtle taste of ginger in the background. This is a truly great asparagus recipe. I wish I could have added the cashews, but unfortunately I didn't have any. Know that it still tastes great without them.
