I was raised second to youngest in a family of 10. With only one sister at home and the rest all brothers, I was a tomboy! I was usually found out in the garage helping my father work on cars and would much rather do yardwork than be in the kitchen learning to cook. Unless, of course, it was Christmas, and my Mom was making all sorts of goodies, from candies, to cookies, to pies...I am a dessert girl all the way! Soon after I got married I realized I would need more cooking skills than desserts alone, and it has been a long road! Five years and two kids later, cooking has become one of my favorite things to do-and not just the dessert part! Anything with chicken in it and Italian dishes Thanksgiving pie day-we get together the day before Thanksgiving and bake pies! peppermint patties. It took me couple days to get this recipe right, but they turned out so well! I am so proud of myself for this accomplishment! In one word-PANCAKES. I SUCK at making pancakes. Just can't figure it out. I'm just lucky enough to have married the master pancake flipper!
