Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
A very tasty change from your traditional Italian style stuffed shells. I did use taco seasoning and added a can of diced tomatoes with chiles. I put black olives on one quarter for my own taste. You could get quite creative with this simple yet satisfying recipe. The next time I make this I do two, one mild and one for those of us who like it hot.

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
I made this cake exactly as the recipe is written and it was absolutly awesome. I did omit the extra pecans from the iceing though and I added a couple of tablespoons of water during the mixing of the iceing. It did take about fifty minutes to cook through. My family has already requested another one.I will definetly use this recipe again.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
Excellent! I tried this for the first time this weekend for a large gathering. Like some of the other reviewers I also did the old standby just in case. However this is the one that was raved about by all. I used a couple more bottles of the Guinness stout as my brisket was about 6 1/2 pounds. I put a little bit of spicey musturd on top before adding the brown sugar and topped it off with raw onion. Covered with tin foil and didn't touch it for 4 hours. Then added the veggies and covered again, put it back in for another hour and perfect.

Asian-Glazed 'Melt-in-Your-Mouth' Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
Delicous, and properly named as this pork absolutely melts in your mouth. I made it useing the serving converter and ended up with much more brine than I actually needed. I put it in the brine and left in the icebox overnight. It came out great and won first place in a family cook-off. Pay special attention to the cooking time as there is a very small window between undercooked and perfect then overcooked.

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
This recipe is outstanding. I have made them in the oven and on my grill. Be sure to use a grill safe pan or dish though. These delicous little wieners hardly make it off the grill before the pan is empty. A great apitizer to kick off any occasion.

Grape Leaves Aleppo

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
this was a very good recipe that I followed exactly as is excluding the olives. It took me much more time to prepare and cook than it did for Robert. I thought there was a little too much lemon juice but the rest of the family disagreed. The few leftover definatly tasted better after sitting in the ice box overnight. I will make these again some weekend and double the quantity.

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
A "taste good" recipe is what the kids call this. I used a home made pesto that was a little messy, but fun to make. One that I got use of my overpriced food processor. An inexpensive and good tasting dish that would make again.

Amazing Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
absolutly the best. I had to make copies of this recipe for all who attended a recent cookout. There are no leftovers no matter how many pounds of shrimp are cooked.I have made these tasty treats several times and pretty much always follow the recipe.I will continue cooking these shrimp for all occasions.
