I accidentally bought ground turkey instead of turkey sausage, but even with that substitution this was a wonderful dish! It was very simple to make and extremely tasty. I baked it in a dish covered with foil at 350 for 30 minutes and then 15 minutes uncovered. Excellent!

AMAZING!! They definitely take awhile to make (it took me about 2 1/4 hours, start to finish) but are not difficult at all. I cooked them at 415 for 8 minutes and they were perfectly done. They're fun to play with too; salt and butter, cinnamon and sugar, and whatever else you like! I will definitely be making these again. They'd be great for something like a Super Bowl party!

This is one of my favorite recipes on this site! I've made it more times than I can count. I prefer to double the sauce for spooning over pasta and add capers, otherwise I make it exactly as written. I serve with angel hair.
