A speech and language therapist who enjoys gardening, reading, writing and cooking, esp. Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Greek and playing around with various herbs. I lived for several years in Istanbul, some years in Canada, and twenty years in Bonn, Germany. I enjoy trying anything that sounds delicious; collecting recipes is another hobby. International dishes are a favorite. My parents lived many years in Kobe, Japan, so recipes with an oriental flair are particular favorites. As for traditions, I make my own bread and frequent farmers' markets. I'm not sure about any triumphs. My children tell me I'm an "awesome" cook but I doubt it. They are very easy to please. No real triumphs but no real tragedies either.
