Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Delicious, but I think the ingredients speak for themselves. it was an expensive recipe, especially if you use Baileys. Everyone thought it was very decadent and rich. Thanks for a great recipe.

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Store bought mixes seem sickly sweet after making this. I followed reviewers and used the chocolate creamer and the great value brand choclate milk mix. I gave out a few jars for christmas along side a batch of homemade peppermint marshmallows. It was a hit there and here!

Fruit Salad

I grew up eating this and in my heart it isn't a holiday unless fruit salad is served. We add a Lot more fruit though. Cut up apples and bannas, mandarin oranges. WE put everything in it. In addition to pecans, my mom always added a splash of wild turkey or crown royal to the batch.

Parmesan Potatoes

very good. I omitted the butter and used a few tbsp of olive oil to coat the potatoes. I cut back the flour to a couple of tbsp and added a few things, like salt pepper garlic and onion power and cooked on a baking stone. I will make these often.

Old Fashioned Fudge

i didn't have milk so i used water, but it still came out well. I love the grainy feel of old fashioned fudge, the microwaved, and powdered sugar versions just aren't the same.....

Easy Peanut Butter Fudge

i "fudged" this recipe with what i had on hand. I used majority butter and only a smidge of peanut butter and used water instead of milk. Not bad.

Grilled Chicken with Herbs

Very good for a healthy grilled dish. We used bone in leg quarters and we slow cooked them. The marinade smelled better than the dish actually tasted though.

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

Used with smoked pulled pork. Made a few alterations because we pulled this together last minute. We didn't have whiskey so we used some brandy, didn't have tomato paste so we used a bit of pizza sauce, and we added honey. We omitted the liquid smoke since we added it to the pulled pork while it was still on the smoker and it thickened up nicely. It was a hit.

Peasant Bread

Oh my gosh, I did not like this. I doubt its the recipe's fault since it has such great reviews.....I can only conclude that i did something wrong although i can't figure out what it might have been. I'm new to using a bread machine, i'll use that as my excuse.

My bread came out rather dense. It was still delicious, though. I served it with chicken stew. It was divine dipped into the thick gravy. I didn't have italian seasoning so i just pinched variuos herbs in the bread machine.

Summer Squash Bread

Very nice! A bunch of squash was given to us and i had no idea how to use it up so i tried this. I followed the advice and sprinkled the top with br. sugar before it baked and we found it very nice. I told the kids it was coffee cake and they knew no different. I think i will definately put a crumb topping on this next time i have squash to use.

Memphis Rub

INCREDIBLE, but I made a few changes. I cut the paprika drastically and replaced the msg with tenderizer and omitted a lot of the salt. I also omitted the onion powder and garlic powder for fresh onion and garlic. I minced the garlic and onion and smeared it on our racks of a ribs and let it sit all day in the fridge. About 30 minutes before cooking i smeared on our rub and then they were slow cooked on the grill. We were very impressed by the uniqueness of it. We had never tasted anything like it. It was sweet, but not overpoweringly, and it carmalized nicely with the fresh onion. I was a little heavy handed with the rub, so i'll cut back on that in the future ,but i'm definatly saving this one for future use.Thank you ALIKAT695

Buttery Corn Bread

i thought it was great. I added an additional 1/3 cup of cornmeal and omitted 1/3 cup of flour. It was "corny" enough for us. It was sweet, but not too much and these are good even without butter on top. I think honey in the batter would be DIVINE!! I was able to make 22 muffins filled 2/3 to the top.

Mom's Fried Fish

It was a decent coating. I thought it was a touch bland so next time i will add more salt and pepper and maybe some other things. Also it seems to suck up the oil in the pan like a vacuum cleaner.
