I love Fall.
About this Cook
I am 22 years old. I live in South Georgia, and I love it. I love to experience new things. I like trying new food and wine. Cooking for my family is probably one of my favorite things to do. Cooking for me is like therapy. When I cook everything else just goes away and I am at peace.
My favorite things to cook
I really like looking in my pantry, refrigerator and cabinets and seeing what we have and just throwing something together. I really like using wontons to make new things and I love using a crock-pot, even though mine is broken right now.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We are from the south so we eat a lot of southern food. I eat with my memaw on Sundays. I've learned most of my southern cooking from her.Cornbread, casseroles, all of that wonderful southern deliciousness. As for other things I have pretty much taught myself by watching the Food Network and following recipes.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime someone is like, "WOW Kelly, that is really good."I just feel fulfilled. I made a moroccan pork tenderloin one time. Mind you, my family does not eat like that. They eat southern food and that's it. But my mom and everyone who ate with us absolutely loved it. That was a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Last time I made a pork tenderloin I salted it way too much. For weeks I undersalted everything. I tried to do the mexican cheese dip you get at restaurants one time and it was a disgrace. Lumpy and wierd.
