I love to have people over and play games and eat of course!! I love to cook and experiment, trying to make up new recipes is fun. I love holliday cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Main course meals and desserts, breakfasts. I think my favorite food to make is cajun, because it is easy and full of flavor. At least most cajun is easy to cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to can, although thats not really cooking my mother and her mother and etc all canned their food, and it's very satisfying when your all done to look upon the rows of beautiful jars of pretty vegies and fruits, and jams.
My cooking triumphs
I made emerils Gumbo and garlic bread one day and it turned out to be one of the most delicious things I have ever put into my mouth. It was very time consuming making the roux it took about a half hour just stiring and getting it the right color then simmering it all together, but it was delicious!
My cooking tragedies
Once when I was 12 I made the prettiest peanut butter cookies, but somehow I mistakenly put in two cups of salt instead of two cups of sugar. The dog would not even eat them. He sniffed them and then put his head down, tail between his legs and looked at me like I was trying to poison him and slunked away it was so funny!!!
