Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
I followed the advice of other reviewer's and doubled the sauce. I also used the recommended 1/2 C wine and 1/2 C chicken broth, plus almost all of the 8oz chive cream cheese. It was a hit. I grilled the chicken to about 3/4 done on our indoor grill after seasoning and then sliced it and added it into the sauce on the stovetop where it simmered covered for the 10 or so minutes it took to cook the pasta. Very good flavor and quite easy. Will make again.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
I made this for our family and since two of my kids don't like spicy things, I made a batch according to the recipe and a batch where I subsituted bbq sauce for the hot sauce. Both were fabulous. I followed other reviewers and made sure to pat dry before flouring. Everyone gobbled them up and they were looking for more. Will definitely make again.

Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
I'm only giving this a 4 because I had an old version of the recipe that I think is better. Try using french vanilla pudding instead of regular vanilla and always refrigerate overnight. That will make it take exactly like an eclair. Also, as someone else on the site noted, heat the frosting and pour it over the cake. It will be smooth and shiny the next morning when you take it out of the fridge. With those changes, this is a 5.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
We love this recipe. Have made it a few times now and here's what we've learned. It's just as good without the chocolate chips. If you do put the chocolate chips, use the mini ones if you want them to melt fully. The regular size chips don't melt down all the way. It has a nice texture and is easy to frost. We use the chocolate fudge buttercream frosting or no frosting at all! It's a good cake just on it's own. Give it a try for an easy way to make a cake that tastes like it's "from scratch."

Lori's Famous Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
These were very good and very easy to make. I followed another reviewer's advice and cooked them on my westbend skillet with less oil than the recipe called for. Will definitely make these again.

Blue Cheese Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2008
We really enjoyed this. I used a 3 lb sirloin tip roast because I didn't want to have to go buy a tenderloin. I marinated it for about an hour and it worked out great. Very tender. My kids don't care for blue cheese so I served their pieces without any sauce..even without the sauce the meat had a very nice flavor from the marinade so it's a recipe that you can easily serve with the sauce "on the side." Everyone cleaned their plates! Served with baked potatoes (my husband liked the sauce added on his potato, too) corn and warm buttered bread. A keeper.

MMMMM... Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
These are really, really good and very easy to make. My 11 year old did most of the work with just a little assistance from me. We followed the advice of another reviewer and used a higher end brand of chocolate chips. Will definitely make again.

Will definely make again. Even my 11 year old, who rarely eats meat liked this. The sauce is really, really good. The reviews are rright on. This one is a keeper.
