Awesome Roast Beef

Could not be easier! Seriously, this was the best roast I ever had. I added a little bit of corn starch to thicken the gravy while in the crockpot......other than that it's a winner. Serve with rustic mashed potatoes and biscuits and you will have the most amazing comfort food meal of the year.

Ham and Broccoli Bake

Very good recipe! This was super easy to make. I used fresh broccoli because I had it on hand. I used 3 cups of ham because I wanted to use it all up. The 15 oz jar of Alfredo was plenty, I filled the jar with the milk and shook it and poured it that way into the pan. (Alfredo sauce you seem to waste a lot it get's left over in the jar) Very Good we will make again!

Macaroni Ham Salad

This really works well with left over ham, sometimes it's nice to have an option for something other than ham sandwiches or ham and bean soup and this definitely fit's the bill! So easy and so delicious. It's different than a regular macaroni salad. Very unique and I get lot's of compliments on how good it is!

This is simply amazing. So easy, so fresh! I could give this 100 stars if I could. I only used half a lemon....we aren't huge lemon lovers. I think the flavor was just fine with half the lemon. I'm really not sure how you can go wrong with this. This tastes like something you would order at a restaurant. I'm pretty sure that this will be our new indulgence for a treat! AWESOME.

Banana Bread IV

This was very good! I liked the texture. It didn't have the wow factor for me that I expected. Don't get me wrong this is very tasty. I used brown sugar instead of white sugar...because I was out of white sugar....So that may have something to do with it....Very good recipe. I will be making again for sure!

Oaxacan Tacos

I am so excited about this recipe! Ik....being from Pennsylvania Dutch Country....this is definitely something I was skeptical to try. It just didn't fit what I know in my mind as a Taco....but I read the reviews and thought.....well I might as well go for it! Wow wow was I ever thrilled. I kept thinking to myself that there had to be more to it....but it's simple to make..like 10 minutes...the flavor is different to my taste buds....keeping in mind that east coast has no clue what a street taco tastes like...so I just have to say this is delicious. I'm so excited that the family loved it and just the fact I tried something new...this recipe is so great. I will be making these again tonight since I still have the ingredients handy. This meat and potatoes gal found something that really is a hit!!!!!

Gooey Chip Bars

Just the 'easy' factor makes these a 5 star. Delicious, sweet, gooey. Perfect for a quick treat! Makes sure the pan is super greased....these like to stick to the pan.

Peanut Butter Easter Eggs

Easy! I had good comments on these. I can't eat peanut butter....so I didn't have one....but everyone said they were good. Only one negative comment about how you can really taste the 10x sugar and they were kinda dry. Otherwise great comments on these....and super easy.

Southwest Chicken

I really thought my family would like this....they didn't...It just wasn't a good flavor combination for us. I tend to really enjoy things with these ingredients....it just didn't blend well for us. Super bland and just didn't have that wow factor.

Vegetarian Chickpea Sandwich Filling

I'm just not sure about this.....I was pretty disappointed with the flavor. I followed the recipe exactly.It probably just have to do with my personal tastes. I tend to love chickpeas....so I had high hopes for this. Like I said, It may just have been my tastebuds

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

This was perfect. I split this into 2 crusts to make thin crust pizzas. I was nervous because this was the first time I made my own pizza dough. I will never go pack to pre-made crusts. This was AMAZING just like the title says. This definitely beats any pizza crust I've ever had. This is something you need to commit time at home for....so pizzas will become a sunday evening dinner from now on!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

These had amazing taste. I used orange juice instead of water as others...gosh these were excellent. Very sticky to work with. I thought they were worth it. They didn't even last 24 hours in my house. They make a pretty moist cookie...don't stack them on top of each other when storing! They stick to each other. I used wax paper to divide them. Otherwise you get a huge clump of cookies. They melt in your mouth...mmmmmm so good.

Homesteader Cornbread

This was so much better than the standard cornbread...it's a bit denser and thicker and did I mention much yummier. Throwing out all my other cornbread recipes. You cannot go wrong with this one.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

You really cannot go wrong with this! This is the perfect combination of flavors. I used the towel under the crock pot lid...it worked great keeping the extra moisture under control. I loved how warm these were. I'm really not sure how people have problems making these...it's common sense. You reserve a little bit of the water to use to get these to a creamy consistency while your mashing them. If you put too much of the reserved water in....well your going to have bad results I would imagine. Loved this recipe. This was complimented on over and over at thanksgiving...give this a try!

Spinach Lasagna II

I usually always make the recipe exactly as is. I did add 2 precooked chicken breast(cut up) to the spinach mixture and added a clove of garlic. I really enjoyed it as did my 2 year old....whom loves anything with tomato sauce. This was fairly easy and a change from things I usually make. I think that it is a good basic recipe and will be making again someday.

Home-Style Vegetable Beef Soup

This was very good. I felt as if something was missing. I didn't use V8. I used a "off brand" which probably was the difference. This was very tasty regardless.
