I was born and raised in Rhode Island. About 10 years ago I made the big decision to become a Vegetarian, mainly due to the whole "animal thing" but also to benefit my diet! It was quite a challenge the 1st few years to learn how to make dishes with the same nutritional benefits as when I was meat eating but since then, I feel I have become a pro at veggie cooking and am always creating new and delicious (and nutritious) dishes to enjoy.
My favorite things to cook
Anything veggie, tempeh, tofu, asian, italian(with a vegetarian twist:), traditional polish recipes (also "vegetized"), stir fry's, rice concoctions,casseroles, and last but certainly not least - desserts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Going over to my Mom's on Christmas Eve day to make the annual Polish Pierogi's and Wild Mushroom Soup for our traditional dinner that night!
