I'm a 19 year old gal from Oviedo, Florida. Cooking makes me crazy, but I'm trying to get better at it since its pretty fun and functional. I love the outdoors and all things country. My life revolves around country music, line dancing, swimming holes and fishing (then there's school...haha!) I love Jesus, and I love to teach. I can't wait to teach middle school history in a few years! PIES! I absolutely love to bake pies, It's my specialty. Sometimes they come out weird or explode all over the oven, but thats life. I just learn from it. Hopefully by the time I'm old I'll be whippin' em up with my eyes closed. I also like to cook southern dishes, trying to keep them lower on fat. Food to me tastes better when there's just enough butter and sugar to bring out the nice flavors. Right now I'm working on putting together my own recipe book with my favorite recipes. Unfortunantly, I'm a college student cooking in a small dorm kitchen so I don't get all the opportunities in the world to practice my kitchen skills. Someday though, I'll be a whiz. My family is Polish, but traditional Polish food is slightly disgusting, I don't think those Poles had the best foods to choose from. However, Christmas Eve Pierogi are absolutely divine! My Grandma and I spend several hours on Dec. 23 rolling, stuffing, and boiling Pierogi made from scratch. Delicious! Probably my proudest moments happen when I manage to make a delicious pie that looks as good as it tastes. Honestly, I don't have much to be proud of in the kitchen. If I can get a meal on the table by 6:30 without complaints from the family, It's a good night! haha, they happen often but thats life! <3
