Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2009
This is an AWESOME recipe! I've been making it for several years, and as of yet have never had anyone NOT like it! My biggest fans, a few years ago, were some in-mates (from our County jail)... I'm a District Court Clerk - we needed some in-mates to do some work for us, and out of appreciation I brought them some of these for lunch. I received umpteen 'thank you' letters raving about how good they were, and a couple requests for the recipe to send to their wife(s)! :-) I sometimes use sour cream in lieu of mayo for a slight taste-change, and I always sprinkle garlic powder on (with the chives) as we're huge garlic-lovers!

Perfect name for this recipe... great blend of sweet/sour and spicy. Excellent recipe! My husband likes everything I cook, but he raved about this one... told me a couple times "this is a keeper". Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipe!

Chicken Puffs

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2008
I only rate recipes when I find them very, very good (if they're not 5 star I can't blame the recipe as I tend to 'punt' w/seasoning, adding stuff, etc. so not fair to rate something I changed). I used the whole 'triangle' rather than cutting in half as I was getting short on time w/dinner prep. Plus, my 7 yr. old was helping with the 'wrapping' and was easier with a bigger dough. I doubled the recipe and ended up with 32 'helpings'. I cooked them for 18-20 min. to get the nice golden brown. The only thing I changed was seasoning a little more with plain ole seasoning salt and garlic powder (I don't know how to cook w/o garlic powder!). They were fabulous and will in the future make them for potlucks or large get-togethers. Thanks for sharing your recipe w/us!

Baked Zucchini Squares

WONDERFUL! I made a HUGE batch of this for a group of adults, lots of teenagers and kids. It was cleaned out... couldn't believe would be such a hit with the non-vegetable-loving kids. My mother, at 72 yrs., said was the best zucchini recipe she's ever had. Thanks so much for sharing... FINALLY a great recipe to use up all that prolific zucchini!

EXCELLENT Fried Rice recipe... the best I've found! Yes, the bacon makes the difference... can't beat it served w/chicken. However, great w/anything or just by itself! Thanks for sharing!

Yum, yum, yum! I only leave a rating when I run into a 5 star recipe... very, very good. Didn't change a thing and was superb. Served with a tasty fried rice recipe... made enough for a crowd and 4 of us pretty much polished it off!! Thanks for this keeper!

Easy Grilled Chicken Teriyaki

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
I usually only leave a review when I find a recipe exceptional... this is one of them! My niece, a 'semi'-vegan, had some of this chicken and said it "was the best meat she ever ate". I used Teriyaki Marinade sauce instead of regular teriyaki the first time(as I always have the marinade on hand) and it was just as good or better. The marinading 24 hrs. makes it melt in your mouth, however I've been impatient and barbi'ed it after 4 hrs and was still excellent... maybe not quite as tender but the taste makes up for it. EXCELLENT RECIPE!!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
OMG... best alfredo recipe I've ever had. I went to a 5 star Italian restaurant in my travels in WA and had the best Alfredo. I referred it to all I knew. This, I think, is better! Don't change a thing... I DO use fresh parmesan... however, one night in a pickle, I grated some chedder cheese for the cheesy texture (all I had) and added the dried grated parmesan. Wasn't bad - ALMOST as good. Thanks for the great recipe. Definitely a keeper!
