Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
I made this for my mother's day brunch...what a fabulous meal. I made turkey sausage also...YUMMO.....I followed other reviewers...melting butter in microwave, adding sugar and corny syrup and stirred...I also didn't let it sit overnight....I used 4 eggs 1/2 tsp orange extract and dipped the bread before putting it in the pan. I ate some of french bread loaf before making this dish so the pan wasn't packed tight. I had leftovers which I warmed up at work for breakfast on Mon and Tue....everyone was so jealous...gonna use grand marnier teeny size bottle next time....can't wait to make this again....OH SO GOOD!!!!!

Alienated Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I enjoyed these muffins. I only gave 4 stars because I made a few changes and that may have cause the issue. I used frozen blueberries, soy milk and butter. I let the blueberries thaw a bit before I coated them in the flour. I also left the muffins in the oven for a few minutes over the suggested time. But all in all they were good. I will make these again and increase the amounts so I could really end up with 24 normal size muffins instead of the 15 normal and 9 "mini" ones

Aunt Bev's Famous Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
This is a great recipe. I haven't made my classic recipe in over a decade (lost it). This was really easy and came out delicious. I used 3 granny smith apples instead but my apples were large and I barely fit the top crust on. At first with the spice mix I wasn't sure what to do. I coated the apples with it and threw in the butter but I had all this stuff left over so I just poured most of it into the apples. It was so yummy. I am trying to get rid of this pie before I eat the whole thing...only about 4 1/2 slices to go....been hiding it so I forget it is there...I am really thankful for allrecipes.com

Delicious Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
I loved this bread. I wanted to use applesauce to cut the fat but I ran out :-( I did use 1/2 cup raisins and I doubled up on the nutmeg and cinnamon (2 teas each)...This recipe was so easy and I used fresh pumpkin which I pureed by baking two halves at 350 for 90 minutes and then used my hand mixer to get it smooth. My pumpkin made 4 cups so I can't wait to make the next batch of the DELICIOUS bread.

Pad Thai

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
I liked this recipe and decided to combine other member reviews with what I had in my kitchen. I followed Erinjw recipe and I used only chicken because I bought the wrong type of Tofu :-( I also used red wine vinegar mixed with the fish sauce, lime juice, white sugar (orig recipe). I also used ground almonds (put almonds in a baggie and whacked with a hammer---FUN) instead of peanuts, can you say YUMMY. I omitted the crushed red pepper and put the cilantro in for the last few turns. I also did use bean sprouts and more lime juice. I also followed another reviewer and boiled rice noodles for a minutes, didn't get to rinse in cold water, but it still worked (made it sticky) I think it was overall this was a great recipe. I can't wait to eat again for lunch tomorow.

This was my second attempt at making brownies and did I blow my away my lucky co-workers who were privileged to eat these. I followed a tip from another member and I added a 12oz bag of semi-sweet choc chips....OMG, I don't like chocolate but these are AMAZING brownies....I am so happy to be using allrecipes.com
