I come from a long line of good, southern cooks. That being said, everyone in my family LOVES to cook; and they're pretty good at it as well. I like making different types of desserts, and baking all kinds of goodies. I don't really have a favorite to cook, but I do enjoy trying new recipes, and coming up with my own creations. Helping out in the kitchen during the holidays, especially with my grandparents. Since being married, and where we move a lot being in the military, I hardly get to see them, so I treasure the times when I do get to help them and learn from them as well. My Birthday cake, which was a chocolate cake with coffee buttercream icing in the center and chocolate buttercream icing on the outside(Icing Redipes from this site). I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies and they turned into paper thin waffers, they basically turned into dust piles when you picked them up. It was a mess.
