About this Cook
I've been married since May of 2003 and had my first child, a little girl in February of 2008. I have been cooking for a little while but have just recently gotten more into it as I am a stay at home mom now. My husband inspires me to be a better cook. I recently found this website and I love it!
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake anything! Sometimes I'll bake when I'm bored just for something fun to do. Plus I love baked goods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter are my big traditional meals. I always save certain dishes for only these occasions, which, I think make them taste a whole lot better. Plus they're something to look forward to.
My cooking triumphs
Anything made from scratch that turns out really well.
My cooking tragedies
Cooking any meat. It took me a long time to learn how to cook different meats. It used to intimidate me until my husband educated me on it. He's a fabulous cook! Now I cook meat more bodly and have just recently startd to tackle the BBQ grill! Yikes! :o)

Lemon Thyme Rice
Read the reviews and only added 1 TEASPOON of thyme. I was out of broth so i made some out of chicken bouillon cubes and water. I also added some sauted onion and garlic with the butter. It turned out great. We topped with parmesan cheese. So delicious!

Pecan Pie V
Was really sweet. Too sweet. My pie was also runny. Tried baking it for 15 minutes on 350 and then 50 minutes at 300 per other reviewers. Seemed to burn on top very quickly before cooking in the center.
