I specifically chose this recipe because I don't like fish. It worked pretty well and I did like it! I used spicy canned tomatoes and doubled the garlic :)

I wanted to comment that when I made these cookies with my mom we always chilled the dough and put the cookie sheets in the freezer, too. This might help with the spreading problem.

My family and I enjoyed this recipe; but it didn't turn out as I expected. For some reason, this cooked in my slow cooker on low in two hours. If I hadn't decided to give it a stir before I went out I would have come home to a burnt mess. I did omit the eggs and added 2 Tbs. of cornstarch, because my children like the "creamy" style. I think I'll do this again, but I'll put it together later in the day.
