About this Cook
Hi there! My name is Sabrina and I live in Ontario, Canada. There's not another place I would rather be! BUT! I would love to VISIT other places! I've been cooking since I was rather young, learning mostly from my stepmother who is a fabulous cook :) I'm entering into the new world of baking, slowly but surely. I'm a fairly decent cook&baker, but I want to expand my "talent", as I'm going to be a wife soon!
My favorite things to cook
Well, I guess my "specialty" is making sauces for pasta. I make different ones almost each time. My fiance and cousin (who are the ones who get to taste my food most often) say that the sauces are their favorite. I also love slow cooking food, like chicken, meatballs, stews, etc. I'm newer to baking, but I've found an amazing Apple Crumb pie and my fiance is in love all over!! haha!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Apple Crisp is a family recipe that was handed down to me, but as I was copying it to a cook book, I missed something and now it's never come out as good as it was before. So right now I'm working on recreating the recipe. I also have a special recipe given to me for some AMAZING turkey cutlets!
My cooking triumphs
I wouldn't say I have any "triumphs" as far as entering contests and things like that. But, I get a lot of praise from family and friends, which I consider just as good!
My cooking tragedies
OMG. I made a Chocolate Pie once and it was made from pudding and it flopped SO BAD. It was kind of tragic for me because it was for my boyfriend at the time, who was a cook. I am absolutely incapable of making pudding, which is a little sad since it's just milk and mixing. But I kid you not, I am NOT able to make pudding. Ever.
