About this Cook
I am a mom of two little kids, who would love to eat Mac and cheese three meals a day, and have a husband who would like to grow his own grain to make his own bread. I try to walk the line in between to make everyone happy.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook things for guests that are out of their comfort zone, like Indian food for my parents who are real "steak and baked potato" eaters.
My cooking tragedies
My husband bought really nice copper cookware, but I am unable to cook anything in them without it sticking and burning. Out of frustration, he went out and got me one non-stick pan, and told me "hands off" his nice ones. I'm just waiting to be downgraded to the Easy Bake oven, as well. :)

Chicken and Dumplings III
This is excellent for a quick chicken and dumplings. I prefer homemade dumplings, of course, but this recipe is 99% perfect and takes less than half as long to make. It is a staple at our house- we have it at least once a month. Thanks for sharing!!

Greek Pasta Salad I
This was absolutely fantastic- I will be making this weekly to take to work for lunch. I pretty much followed the recipe, except I left out the mushrooms and just eye-balled the oil and vinegar. Even better after a few days in the fridge.

Chicken Pot Pie IX
Perfect as is. My husband always jokes about all of the modifications people put in their reviews- "How can you tell if the actual recipe is any good?"- so I cooked this to the letter, and it was fantastic. I made it again for a sick friend and another neighbor, and they all raved. Spice it up if you'd like, but don't feel like you must.
