Sugar Cookie Icing

i used honey instead of corn syrup, and vanilla instead of almond (like others), and it tasted great. you couldn't taste the honey at all (my friends were surprised it had honey in it), but it made it dry, shiny, and hard like others say this icing does. and i used sprinkles, but just had to push them in a little bit so they'd stick before the icing set. it was pretty thick, though, so i added some more milk and honey and it was fine. i also doubled the recipe, because this doesn't make that much, and i like lots of icing on my cookies!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

i used white whole wheat flour and it made them a little nutty. could have used some more sugar (maybe the whole wheat messed it up a little), but i used lots of icing so it was ok.

Chocolate Fudge Cookies

oh man, these are so good! i added a pinch of salt and a bit of vanilla, and used pecan bits instead of chocolate chips. they are delicious! they don't spread out that much, so i sorta push 'em down a little bit. since they're so fudgy, i call them 'brownie bites.' a good mix of cookie and brownie.

Easy Red Velvet Cake

i love this recipe! it's so easy, and makes a delicious and moist cake. i added 3 tbsp powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla like somebody suggested. i also frosted it with cream cheese icing (8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 c. butter, 1 tsp vanilla, 4 c. powdered sugar), and it was even more delicious. my only complaint was that i baked it in 2 8-inch pans and it had really high, rounded tops. maybe if i made it in bigger pans it wouldn't do that.
