About this Cook
My name is Palei and I'm addicted to cooking. I'm a full time student, majoring in psychology, a part time customer service associate and a full time mommy. I love cooking for my family and coming up with different and creative meals for my boys (my husband and son).
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking hearty meals for my husband and I love baking cookies and cakes with my niece and son. There really isn't anything in particular I love cooking more except Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners for my entire family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking from recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation by word of mouth. Nothings in writing, there aren't any particular measures for ingredients and it just comes together. My favorite recipe would be good ol' southern biscuits.
My cooking triumphs
Whenever I can make a meal that impresses both me, my husband and my in-laws, I call that a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I can NEVER seem to cook a proper stock. Regardless of what recipe I follow or how I go about it, it never tastes like anything except bland water. So, I use box stock :)

Peach Ice Cream
This was so easy to make and came out tasting absolutely amazing! I had hundreds of peaches from my peach tree that I didn't know what to do with. This was an easy way to use some of them. It's creamy and rich. Maybe it was a little too sweet, but I'm not complaining.

Chicken Fried Steak I
A good base for a chicken fried steak, but I made sure to add my own seasonings. Meat came out wonderful.

Basic Crepes
So simple and easy to make! I added a couple of tablespoons of sugar to make a sweet crepe then added some nutella and strawberries to the finished product. It reminded me of my favorite crepe place. Absolutely wonderful!
